Can’t Miss Festivals This Year!
Although 2017 is half way over already (can you believe it?!), festival season is still upon us and there are so many awesome festivals to choose from. There’s a festival for all types of music now.. so don’t think if you don’t like EDM, festivals aren’t for you. Check out the list below for upcoming festivals you won’t want to miss!
Govenors Ball – June 2-4 , Randalls Island NY
Some of the headliners for Governor’s Ball include Lorde, School Boy Q, Majid Jordan, Childish Gambino, Wu-Tang Clan, Cage the Elephant, Wiz Khalifa, Logic and so many more!
The Roots Picnic – June 3 , Philadelphia PA
Some of the talented artists appearing at The Roots Picnic are Pharell, The Roots, Lil Wayne, Solange, Thundercat, Khalid and more!
Bonnaroo – June 8-11 , Manchester TN
Some of the headliners for Bonnaroo this year are EDEN, U2, Major Lazer, Glass Animals, Stick Figure, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chance the Rapper, Belly, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Milky Chance and so many more!
Disc Jam – June 8-11 , Stephentown NY
Some of the artists that will be at Disc Jam this year aren’t as well known as others. It would be a great chance to explore some new music!
Northside – June 8-11 , Brooklyn NY
The headliners for this festival are Miguel, Dirty Projectors, Kamasi Washington, Thursday and more!
Mysteryland – June 9-12 , Bethel NY ***CANCELLED***
Unfortunately this awesome festival had to be cancelled this year for “unforeseen circumstances.” I’m not sure what happened or why the show can’t go on, but I am sure there are many people disappointed by this.
SummerJam – June 11 , MetLifeStadium East Rutherfurd NJ Get tickets here!
Just a few of the many artists appearing at this year’s SummerJam are Chris Brown, Migos, Trey Songz, Lil Yachty, A. Boogie, and so many more!
Firefly – June 15-18 , Dover DE
Some of the headliners appearing at Firefly are Glass Animals, EDEN, 21 Pilots, Flume, Banks, Alan Walker, The Weeknd, Wale, T-Pain, Muse, Dillon Francis, Busta Rhymes and so many more!
EDC Vegas – June 16-18 , Las Vegas, NV
Some of the headliners are Afrorack, Armin Van Buuren, Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, Kygo, Tiesto, DJ Khaled, Zedd and so many more!
Mountain Jam – June 16-18 , Hunter NY
Some of the artists appearing at Mountain Jam this year are Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The String Cheese Incident, Peter Frampton, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Mitasyahu, Elephant Revival and many, many more!
Summerfest – June 28 – July 2 , Milwakee
Summerfest is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year! Some of the artists appearing this year are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Luke Bryan, Paul Simon, Brandi Carlyle, Pink, Flume, Ziggy Marley, Jon Bellion, Ludacris and many more!
Moe Down – June 30 – July 2 , Turin NY
Some of the artists appearing at Moe Down are Fish Bone, Twiddle and Rail Road Earth. This is another great festival for discovering new music as many of the artists listed are not “main stream.”
Togetherness Fest – June 30 – July 2 , Spencer NY
This is a festival that has not only musical performances, but also workshops and family activites. This would be a great festival for the whole family!
Great Blue Heron – June 30 – July 2 , Sherman NY
The artists appearing at The Great Blue Heron are Donna the Buffalo, Rusted Root, Jim Lauderdale, Reggae Infity and more!
Summerfest – July 4-9 , Milwakee
Some of the artists appearing during the second part of Summerfest’s 50th anniversary celebration this year are The Chainsmokers, Alessia Cara, A Day to Remember, DNCE, Slightly Stoopid, T-Pain, Michelle Branch, J-Boog, Future, Dierks Bentley, Cole Swindell, Big Sean, Sheryl Crow and so many more!
New York State Blues Festival – July 7-8 , Syracuse NY
This is a can’t miss festival for a blues lover! Some headliners for the New York State Blues Festival are Blues Ignition, Tim Herron, Neil Minet and Electric Mud, Amy Helm and more!
Full Moon Festival – July 8 , Governor’s Island NY
This festival will showcase artists such as Vic Mensa, Kelela, DJ Harvey, Jeremey Underground, Axel Boman and others!
Warped Tour – July 8, Nikon at Jones Beach NY
Some of the artists that will be at this event are Bowling for Soup, I Prevail, BlessTheFall, Creeper, Movements, After the Burial, and more!
Camp Bisco – July 13-15 , Mariaville NY
Some of the artists appearing at Camp Bisco this year are The Disco Biscuit, Bassnector, Pretty Lights, Electric Beethoven and many, many more!
Great South Bay Music Festival – July 13-16 , Patchogue NY
This is a great local festival to consider going to! Some of the artists that will be there are 311, Taking Back Sunday, The Wailers, Saves the Day, and more!
Grey Fox Blue Grass Festival – July 13-16 , Oak Hill NY
Any Blue Grass fan shouldn’t miss this festival! Some headliners are Dry Branch Fire Squad, Jerry Douglas Band, The Infamous String Dusters, Billy Strings, Mountain Ride and more!
Panorama – July 28-30 , New York NY
Some of the awesome headliners at Panorama are A Tribe Called Quest, Cashmere Cat, Frank Ocean, Glass Animals, Kiiara, Nine Inch Nails, Snakehips, Tyler the Creator and more!
The Classic East – July 29-30 , Flushing NY
This festival is featuring classic artists such as Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles!
Lollapalooza – August 3-6 , Chicago IL

BeachGlow – August 5-6 , Philadelphia PA
There is no official line up for this, however, the website does list that it has 3 stages, 10+ bars, beach activities, art installations, body paint, games and more!
Billboard Hot 100 – August 19-20 , Nikon at Jones Beach
Some of the artists appearing at this event are Major Lazer, Zedd, Gucci Mane, Tinashe, DJ Khaled, Young Thugg and more!
AFROPUNK – Aug 26-27 , Brooklyn NY
This festival is full of great artists! Some are SZA, Thundercat, Macy Gray, Willow Smith, Protoje, Pure Disgust and more!
Burning Man – Aug 27-Sept 4 , Black Rock NV
Burning Man is a festival dedicated to art and self expression. There will be many acts and all that go to Burning Man become part of the show, as active participants!
EZOO – Sept 1-3 , New York NY
The traditional EDM festival is back! This year many amazing artists will be there including DJ Snake, Zedd, Armin Van Buuren, Alan Walker, Tritonal and many, many more!
Made in America – Sept 2-3 , Philadelphia PA
You can see artists such as Jay-Z, J.Cole, The Chainsmokers, Kaskade, Migos, 21 Savage and more!
The Meadows Music & Art Festival – Sept 15-17 , Queens NY
This is a festival nobody will want to miss. Some of the artists that will be there are Kanye West, Kygo, J.Cole, Bryson Tiller, Mac Miller, Zhu, Pusha T, Damian “Jr Gong” Marley and so many more!
