10 Springtime Activities to Check Out on Long Island
Spring is one of the best times of the year! After a long, cold winter the weather is finally starting to warm up, the trees are turning green again, and flowers are slowly starting to bloom. The world is starting to look beautiful and alive again!
We’ve listed a few spring time activities you and your family could do on Long Island this spring:
- You may want to visit the All Kids Fair in Melville. This is held in later April, and is an excellent way for children to socialize and meet new friends.
- The Arbor Day Family Festival is held at the end of April in Oyster Bay, and is filled with fun, educational activities.
- Kron Chocolatier is the perfect destination for a rainy day. You can make your own chocolate treats!
- In early May they host the Huntington Tulip Festival which showcases more then 20,000 tulips.
- Celebrate Mother’s Day with a Picnic at Belmont Park!
- You may want to check out the Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival at Stony Brook University in May.
- A common favorite place to go is the Adventure Park in Wheatley Heights if you’re the adventurous type.
- Check out some awesome outdoor sculptures and take a stroll through the Nassau County Museum of Art.
- Stuck inside on a rainy day? Head over to the Vanderbilt Museum for an amazing planetarium show.
- Check out the Bethpage Air Show on Memorial Day, where they showcase world-class military and civilian fliers.
